Koba Kobaladze met with Executive Director of Military and Veterans Affairs of Miami Gustavo Cruz

Major General Koba Kobaladze, Director of the State Service of Veteran Affairs, met with the Executive Director of Military and Veterans Affairs of Miami, Gustavo Cruz as a part of his working visit to the USA. The parties shared their experiences at the meeting. Koba Kobaladze introduced the structure of the Service to Gustavo Krus and talked about the programs that the Service implements to improve the psycho-social and economic condition of veterans and family members of those who died in the war.

The parties have agreed to continue close cooperation in the future, which will facilitate effective overcome of the challenges faced by Georgian veterans. Koba Kobaladze invited Gustavo Krus to Georgia so that he could learn about the needs of Georgian veterans.

A memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the Military and Veterans Affairs Service of Miami and the State Service of Veteran Affairs of Georgia after the meeting in order to deepen partnership, which was signed by Koba Kobaladze and Gustavo Krus.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Assurance of the State Service of Veterans Affairs, Irakli Chanturidze, Head of the Protocol Department, Mariam Adamashvili, founder and president of the non-governmental organization “American Friends of Veterans of Georgia”, Nikoloz Karchava, and representatives of the Military and Veterans Affairs Service of Miami.

Nikoloz Karchava presented Koba Kobaladze and Gustavo Krus with honorary medals of the organization “American Friends of Georgian Veterans” at the meeting.
