Moscow Terms Report by Special Representative of UN Secretary General as Provocation
Moscow has termed the report by Special Representative of UN Secretary General Walter Kalin as a provocation, Itar-Tass says. Kalin prepared the report after his visit to Tskhinvali. According to Russian Representative to the UN Mikheil Lebedev, the report is biased, politicized, and it includes factual mistakes. Fore example, ‘Georgia’ is used instead of ‘South Ossetia’ in the report. According to Lebedev, Kalin’s report does not include any word about ‘the torment, the Ossetian people have suffered as a result of the aggression by the Georgian government’. He also denies Kalin’s statement regarding limited humanitarian activities in the so-called South Ossetia.
