within the framework of the memorandum of mutual cooperation, the doctors of G. Chapidze Heart Disease Center launched the 142nd charity campaign for veterans of the war and defense forces and their family members living in the village of Nikozi, Gori Municipality. The campaign was organized by the State Service of Veteran Affairs.
The campaign included free examinations of the cardiological profile (a consultation with a doctor-cardiologist, electrocardiogram, echocardiography, laboratory studies). 65 beneficiaries of the Service benefited from the charity medical campaign free of charge, while 90 medical visits were paid.
Major General Koba Kobaladze, Director of the State Service of Veteran Affairs, Jandri Ubiria, Deputy Director, Gia Edilashvili, the head of the Monitoring and Audit Department, and Zviad Sabashvili, the head of Shida Kartli Regional Management Department, got acquainted with the course of the campaign on the spot.
The first memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Service of Veteran Affairs and Chapidze Heart Disease Center in 2017. After five years of fruitful cooperation, the memorandum of cooperation was extended for another 5 years on April 16, 2022.
Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation, charity medical campaigns for veterans of the war and defense forces and their family members are conducted permanently across Georgia. Today the doctors of Chapidze Heart Disease Center have conducted 142 charitable medical campaigns. Free medical services were provided to 12,626 beneficiaries.
The charity medical campaigns will be held for the veterans of the war and defense forces throughout the country in the future as a part of the memorandum of cooperation regarding which the veterans will be notified in advance.
