A free healthcare campaign was launched in Keda

The doctors of Chapidze Heart Disease Center conducted the 143rd charity-medical campaign for veterans of war and defense forces and their family members living in the municipality of Keda.

The campaign was organized by the State Service of Veteran Affairs as a part of the memorandum of cooperation. The campaign included free examinations of the cardiological profile (consultation of doctor-cardiologist, electrocardiogram, echocardiography, laboratory studies).

More than 150 beneficiaries of the Service benefited from the charity medical campaign free of charge. 270 medical visits were paid.

Head of Ajara Division of the State Regional Management Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Shota Kifiani, Senior Specialist of the Service’s Social Issues and Accounting-Analytical Department, Vazha Dalakishvili, Mayor of Kedi Municipality, Ronald Beridze, Member of Parliament, Anzor Bolkvadze got familiarized with the campaign on the spot.

The first memorandum was signed in 2017 between the State Service of Veteran Affairs and the Chapidze Heart Disease Center. After five years of fruitful cooperation, the memorandum was extended for another 5 years on April 16, 2022.

Within the framework of the memorandum, charity healthcare events for veterans and their family members are held permanently throughout Georgia. The doctors of Chapidze Heart Disease Center have conducted 142 charity healthcare campaigns organized by the State Service of Veteran Affairs so far. Free healthcare rendered were provided to 12,776 beneficiaries.

Within the framework of the memorandum, charity medical campaigns will be held throughout the country for veterans and their family members, regarding which the veterans will be notified in advance.
